Both the Girl and Boy must be present with the following documents and need to make sure
that you have gone through the following points before registration.
1. Identity Proof Original with 2 Xerox copies of the Groom and Bride (Adhaar Card /
Election Card / Passport / any other legal Identity Proof)
2. Birth Proof Original with 2 Xerox copies of the Groom and Bride (Birth Certificate,
School Leaving Certificate, Mark sheet, PAN Card)
3. 4 Passport Size colour photographs of the Groom and Bride each
4. 2 Witnesses of each side. Each of them must bring any one ID Proof Original with 2
Xerox copies of (Adhaar Card / Election Card / Passport).
Other than above mandatory documents following are the additional points to be noted
1. Witnesses from both the sides need to be present on time If one of the couple who
are getting married now had a marriage before or got separated then they will have
to separately provide the certificate of divorce or other related legal documents.
2. If any one or both are widowed, then the death certificate of the former spouse
should be submitted.
3. If the citizenship of either one is not Indian or the religion of either of them is not a
Hindu, then this has to be informed before registration.
4. If the Religion of either of them is not a Hindu, then it is also required to inform you
before registration, as, then they will have to get converted to Hinduism by
performing Shuddhi Puja before marriage. The Arya Samaj provides for the process
of marriage under the Hindu Marriage Act, in which both are mandatory to be
Hindu.
5. If Parents from both sides cannot be present at the time of your marriage, then you
should present an affidavit. This will be arranged by the Arya Samaj.
6. If any of the Groom and Bride is a foreign citizen or holding a foreign passport or is
having foreign residential address, then certificate of the present marital status of
the party / No Impediment Certificate / NOC from concerned Embassy and Valid
VISA.
7. If you wish to have photos of the wedding, then the photographer needs to be
arranged by you.
8. You can get married in simple clothes, but if you wish to wear special wedding
dresses then you will be provided with the changing room in Arya Samaj Mandir.
Please note, for further legalization, you may want to register your wedding with the local
government institute for a marriage certificate. It will be issued by the recognized government
department, valid universally.
